Funding Your Start Up

Date: 10th Nov 2020, 10:30 to 11:30

Organiser: AD:VENTURE

Funding a new business is notoriously difficult, and finding that cash to support your start-up can seem like a daunting task.

How do you decide what’s right for you? And how do you navigate the myriad of options available?

Let us help you.

This session will take you through the variety of funding and finance options available to your business, and will focus also on regional funding and grant support available to businesses based in York and surrounding areas.

This will include an overview of:

  • Business Enterprise Start Up loans and funding – Delivered by Rupert Shires
  • AD:VENTURE grant support – Bal Sembhi and Tony Armson
  • Alternative Finance Options – Lorna Blackett, Sedulo

The event will also feature Ben Fry, founder of the most magical drinks emporium in the world, Potions and Cauldrons, York Town Crier and all round York legend. Ben will share his experience of raising finance, what the challenges were and how this helped him build the business, with the opportunity for the delegates to ask questions to Ben and the funding and finance experts.

All delegates will receive a follow up email with details of the funding and finance products discussed, useful links and contact details.
