York Business Week Conference will kickstart a week of topical discussion around the challenges of economic recovery and how we can maximise York’s sector strengths in this period of revival and renewed focus. Chaired by Greg Dyke, Chair of Make It York, speakers will include Keith Aspden, Leader of City of York Council and David Kerfoot MBE DL, Chair of York and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
There will be a focus on the impact of the EU exit in the coming months: what do businesses need to know, and how can they prepare for the changes? This session will be chaired by Andrew Digwood, President of York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Partner at Rollits LLP.
The afternoon will feature a mini tourism conference with an update on the progress of the city’s tourism strategy and key milestones, as well as next steps and plans for 2021. Experts from across the industry will deliver a series of short sessions focused on tourism recovery, with Make It York and City of York Council presenting on 2021 plans for the city and how businesses can get involved.
